MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
We are delighted to present this platform as a comprehensive resource for our members, visitors, and partners. Here, you will find essential information on PAMJE, including our membership, constitution, important announcements, and upcoming events. This website reflects our commitment to enhancing collaboration and accessibility within the Philippine medical publishing community.
The past few years have been challenging due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but together, we’ve managed to move forward. Despite these obstacles, PAMJE successfully held two Annual Conventions and two Educational Fora for our members. These events underscored the resilience and dedication of our community in advancing medical knowledge and editorial excellence, even under unprecedented circumstances.
One of the key initiatives I am particularly proud to introduce is the Centralized Electronic Roster of Philippine Medical Journals or CENTRAL. This innovative platform is designed to host all Philippine medical journals in one accessible location, promoting and providing free access to Philippine medical research from professional medical societies, research institutions, and training hospitals.
The CENTRAL platform will significantly boost the local and global visibility of Philippine medical journals, greatly enhancing the accessibility of our country’s medical research. This initiative will increase the reach and readership of Philippine research both locally and internationally. Furthermore, CENTRAL offers a gateway to a variety of resources, empowering Philippine journals, researchers, and authors with the tools they need to succeed in the global research landscape.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, let’s continue to build a stronger, more visible community for Philippine medical research.
Warm regards,
Cecilia Nelia C. Maramba-Lazarte, MD, MScID, MScCT
President, Philippine Association of Medical Journal Editors (PAMJE)
